Import Assessment Data from Land Registry

Goal

Import monthly property assessment updates from your country land registry system, to keep property valuations current and accurate in Wise Property Manager.

When to Use

  • Monthly data synchronization: Regular updates from the national land registry

  • New property registrations: When new properties are added to the registry

  • Assessment updates: When existing property valuations change

  • System reconciliation: To ensure local data matches official registry records

Prerequisites

  • “Your country land registry” system access: Valid credentials and connection to the registry

  • Import permissions: User account with data import authorization

  • Validation setup: Configured validation rules and error handling

  • Backup procedures: Current system backup before import processing

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access Import Batches

  • Navigate to Data Management > Import Center

  • Select HMS Land Registry Import

  • Review available import batches by date range

  • Select the appropriate monthly batch for processing

2. Validate Data Quality

  • Run Pre-Import Validation to check data integrity

  • Review validation report for:

    • Property ID format compliance

    • Assessment value reasonableness

    • Required field completeness

    • Duplicate record detection

3. Process Import Errors

  • Address any validation failures:

    • Format errors: Correct property ID formatting

    • Missing data: Contact registry for incomplete records

    • Value anomalies: Verify unusual assessment changes

  • Re-run validation until clean import achieved

4. Execute Import Process

  • Click Start Import to begin data processing

  • Monitor import progress in real-time

  • Review import summary statistics

  • Confirm successful completion status

5. Post-Import Verification

  • Run Data Reconciliation Report

  • Compare imported records with registry source

  • Verify assessment totals by municipality

  • Update property status flags as needed

Scenario: Import December 2024 assessment updates for Reykjavik municipality

  1. Batch Selection: Choose FMR batch "REY_202412_MONTHLY"

  2. Validation Results: 2,847 properties validated successfully, 3 format errors corrected

  3. Import Execution: All 2,847 records imported in 12 minutes

  4. Verification: Total assessed value increased by 2.3% from November

  5. Completion: Assessment data ready for January tax bill generation
